Ray Victory - Jammen On The 1

CLICK ON NAME LINK ABOVE FOR SONG DOWNLOADS!!!

From time to time I run into artist after artist in my city of Baltimore. The ones who come to mind to most people are Skarr, Mullyman, Bossman, Caddy & Los just to name a few from my random surveys I've worked on the past few weeks. What about Ray Vic, Keyaira Chanel, Caddy Da Don, Al Great, Greenspan. These are all artists that push the envelope and are still developing. They refuse to give up and I admire they're hard work and efforts.

First and formost you need to pay attention right about now. Ray Victory was a dude whose music fell into my hands from a friend of a friend in 2002. Little did I know, we have pretty much the same stories in reference to music. We both came from working with 2 or 3 individuals and then branching out and creating our own movements. A few months back I remember him reaching out to me to see what's good just because niggas kept running into each other at shows. Then, it was just show after show, party after party, event after event, niggas kept that networking and crew love going so boom! We're like let's team up/squad up and make some noise. As time went on, I started to see how hard it was to break a record. The more and more I try help people break records I start to feel stagnant, almost as if I want to give up but, I can't. I would go to parties, do email blasts, hit malls, barbershops, text messages and then I was introduced to the BLOGGSITES! This is the most powerful thing an artist, writer, producer etc. can have. I was emailing blogsites everyday trying to figure out how to get my music on their without having to come out of pocket before they even listen. All that networking and politicking finally paid off.

I got my man on Onsmash.com in only one day! Shouts out to the kidLegend! Shouts to Dukeyman for that for giving Ray that banger. Now Baltimore has an opportunity to shine. All I can say is stay tuned Pizzle Muzik won't stop!!!! Holla at us.......

JAPIRO - ON MY GRIND (FREE DOWNLOAD)

SWAGGA LIKE US (P-MIX) COMING SOON!!! (STAY TUNED)
First and foremost, I would like to say thanks to all the people who inspired me to never give up on my dreams! Insert your name here: _____. I've spent countless years trying to convince A&R's, Producers, Record Labels, & tons off DJ's that I'm addicted to making music and I'm Hip-Hop 100%.

One day last December I woke up and I realized that I could do something better than just being an Artist/Producer. I've learned that over time I've evolved and matured into someone who sees the world completely different than I did when I started out 15 years ago. I remember when I used to enjoy just being at the studio writing and producing. Then, I became more interested in performing. After performing certain songs so many times as an artist you tend to get bored. Then, I began recording at a pace that was kind of insane for someone who worked damn near full-time and went to school. I used to sleep by the microphone!

Sometimes I feel like I've missed out on a lot of things in life just because I continue to dig away at what I believe is destined to be. I don't sleep half the time because I'm always thinking about my next move for my family, my neighborhood, and the culture itself needs help. I was blessed with so many talents that I would be wrong to God to give up because the right opportunity hasn't come yet. I can't help who I am. I thought I would of traveled this road at this point with a few more people but, I guess it's meant to be for me to carry the load. Most of the time all I find behind the boards is me 99% of time. Perfoming, it's me mostly me on stage alone......But you know what, I'm alright with that!

The funny thing is, it seems like you have to have a CD release party just to get a good crowd in Baltimore. I guess if that is what I have to do to bring the people out so be it! This is one of the toughest cities in America. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere....Period! I have damn near 7 or 8 projects lined up and some people do not understand making mixtapes and albums ain't FREE. I may not have all the answers but, I read, I listen, and I grind. I associate myself with only people who inspire to aquire knowledge! From this day forth I will not be subject to any BS, stereotypes, or negativity. All of the let downs, dissatisfaction, and narrow thinking I've heard for so long helped me to turn the page on life.

I am proud to be the owner of my own label and I will no longer wait for someone to put me on and I hope you won't either...Don't worry I just put myself on and Baltimore I GOT YOU!!!

JAPIRO & RAY VIC PERFORMING AT THE BELVEDERE LOUNGE SUITE TONIGHT!!!

Tonight, you're basically getting two shows in one, JAPIRO & RAY VIC NUFF SAID!!!
I'M GOING IN...
First and foemost I would like to say I heard The Game's LAX songs at least one week before it dropped. I've heard 50% of Jeezy's album already but, I'm not mad. I'm going to tell you why I'm not mad anymore... Artist are learning how to market themselves without help from the label nowdays.
I dont give 2 or 3 fuck's if I hear a someone's album before it drops. If it's dope I'm still going to cop it. Until CD Depot, Best Buy, and Target (etc) stop selling cd's I'm going to make sure I still buy the physical cd. Niggas spend countless hours with ideas, concepts, and in studio time to make shit for the consumer. Then, people who are strictly downloaders or bootleggers never have official copies. Now, I can admit I don't bring my official cd's out the house anymore because I do not want to have to restore my collection of classic albums that I've bought more than twice such as Reasonable Doubt, Trap Muzik, Only Built For Cuban Linx, The Chronic, Life After Death and All Eyes On Me. Plus, the last two cd's mentioned are double discs. What the fuck I look like buying these $25 albums again. Fuck that, the point I'm trying to make is the artist doesn't eat off of your cd purchase. The Artist sees about 15-25 cents for every cd bought if they do not have a lot points for each sale per cd. For an artist going the independant route can either win big or get dropped because of the constant downloading.
Now, understand why I don't care about getting a Major Label Deal. It cost me $4.73 per cd the last go round for the 1st 50 cd's to test out Pizzlematic. Now if I get one-thousand units they only cost $1 per cd. Then, you still have to get a designer and hope all of the artwork fits the printing guidelines and parameters. As well as the audio needs to match the all the order displayed on the covers and inserts. Remember, you are the middle man supplying like 3 people. At that point that's when I said fuck it! If I buy every cd myself it costs 20 cents per disc, 20 cents per cd printed with my own thermal printer, and 20 cents per jewel case. So, it costs me 60 cents to do that per cd and if I want covers it may cost me a dollar per cd. This is better than selling weight! So, you mean to tell me I can sell 1 cd for $5 and make $4 back and at $10 make $9 back. Nicca, I'm in business. Even when I sell a cd @ $2 I'm still doing better than most rappers on labels. So, the game has changed and I guess I had to learn from countless years of not cutting out the middle man and others. Not to mention, I have digital distribution too. So, there's enough out here for us all to get!
RANDOMNESS
I have that Jeezy Album already...got that on pause so, make sure you copp that on Tues. September 2nd, 2008
Why do these Blogsites keep showing this nigga Charles Hamilton so much publicity?
I don't know why I like every Rihanna song. T.I.'s new song Life Your Life featuring her is straight FIRE!!! A month from now don't say I didn't tell you.
I'm not a die hard Ravens Fan but, they need to at least get to the Super Bowl again! Niggas be out partying too much...LOL
A lot people have asked what party am I going to be at on Sunday...I don't even know why they would do such a thing. Shame on you! You already know.
"Just live your life...ay, ay, ay, ay, Got no time for these haters!!!"

Humpday (Young Jeezy - Vacation)

YOUNG JEEZY(EXCLUSIVE) Click on title link for this banger from THE RECESSION

Shout's out to both people who left comments yesterday! I appreciate opinions that's what this site is all about. We all have different taste, thoughts, and reasoning.

I'm Going In...

Now someone please tell me if you have Madden 09'... What team is Brett Farve actually going to play for in real life? Lol', is it the Jets, Giants, or Packers? (Please don't tell me send me the answer I think wikpedia could tell me even if I didn't watch ESPN) I'm tired of these dumb ass companies i.e. (EA Sports) putting out games before professional teams decide on the regular season roster. They always have the Ravens players under/over-rated. Well, I guess one day I'll pick up an X-Box now that they will be $199, $299, & $399. I never thought their would be a day when TV's and Game Systems became the same price. Sorry Sony, I just can't fuck wit ya'll right now. BGE is too damn high for all that nonsense.

HUMPDAY RANDOMNESS

If you need to know the location of the next "SYE Happy Hour" on Aug 20th, hit me up or leave a comment on the message board.

If you know of any artist that would like to be featured on the next PMG Mixtape, tell them to send us an mp3 to info@pizzlemuzik.com

Don't forget The Million DJ March is going down from Aug 29-30 in Washington D.C. All artists, singers, and producers make sure you are there. Ya heard me!

Singer Cassie got her nipples pierced....Lmaoooooooooooooo (Who Cares!)

Is anyone watching Diddy's new reality show? "I'm taking bets to see how long the Transvestite lasts on this show! He or She has to at least be gone mid-season. Can you imagine Diddy having to travel with Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiim (Hahahahahahahahahaha)

Soulja Boy Tell Em'

I'm sorry but, I respect this youngin' because he knows how to get money. He may be young but, he ain't dumb. Don't get it twisted he may not be as lyrical as Nas or Jay-Z may have been in they're teen years but, why would you want a young dude like that talking about the same thing everybody else is talking about. Maybe, we all can learn from him. He got rich from the comfort of his home. Catch up niggas!
Well, I don't have too much to talk about for today. But, make sure if you have any info, updates, and anything going on you would like to talk about or share with the wonderful internet world, Holla at your homie! Hit us up at urbanjustice08@gmail.com "Take off the blazer, unloosen the tie..." Thanks Hov -

"Jocking Jay-Z" Tuesday

(Click on the Title w/Green Text to hear the track for you slooooooow people!)
Cheah-cheah, I'm back people! Everybody's jocking Jay-Z right now because Big Homie is on FIRE right now. This is the perfect time to capitalize off of his new deal before he even drops his last 2 albums with Def Jam. Hov ain't no dummy, why not let Kanye produce your entire album. He's 50% of the reason The Blueprint was a classic. Timbaland only made it on one cut on The Blueprint and 1 cut on The Blueprint 2. I suggest keep the same formula and get your Just Blaze on too. There cannot be a Bluprint 3 without Just Blaze or Pharell...Point Blank Period!
Plus, Ye' gets those plaques Hov, you may have the bread but, Ye' sells 2 million plus every album. Big Brother needs to listen up to Little Brother for a change.
DAILY RANDOMNESS
Tell me something, is it me or did Hov really listen to Tha Carter 3 a few times. Listen to "Jocking Jay-Z" just one more time to see what I'm talking about. Matter of fact, there was no Blueprint 3 until Wayne's buzz started to get heavy. Competition is getting heavy right now.
I heard Freeway might go to G-Unit but, then he was just on a song with Kiss. But, Kiss was just signed to Rocafella before Hov left Def Jam. WTF is going in NY.
R.I.P to Bernie Mac & Issac Hayes (Two Great Black Men to grace the stage in Comedy & Music) Word on the street says Weezy F. has a smash with Keyshia Cole
Is it me or is T.I.'s - "Whatever You Like" the hardest song out right now!

Randomness
Is it me or does it seem like every show on TV is a damn reality show?
Why is it when you ride the bus there is always someone who smells, always a lady with a mustache, and a dude who is always sleep and misses his stop.
What happend to a fresh pair of Butter's in the summer. I guess niggas realize those joints were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to heavy for the summer and niggas have opted for a more wavvvvvvvy look from Prada's to Gucci's to kill it for the summer.
What makes Rihanna so hot?
Ryan Leslie might be the 1st R&B singer that I'm anticipating his 1st album other than Neyo. Look below:

Ryan Leslie - "I Gets Money"

And if that wasn't enough peep this Lil'Wayne Cover:

These YouTubes I was put on to helped me find a new inspiration for Rapping, Producing, Recording & Engineering. It pays to be a one man band just because it's cost effective and you have to be very focused to pull it off. At first I thought I was the only person who did this. But, he makes me feel like I need to seek professional assistance with playing an instrument. This nigga ordered a mini-Trumpet and played it....Who does that? This nigga is talented and people need to give him his due credit. Dude is a genious!
DAVID SIDES

Just when you thought Ryan Leslie had it on lock. Did you hear "Can't Tell Me Nothing"? It sent chills through my body like dayaaaaaaaaaaam. That didn't even have drums to it and it was FIRE!!!
Well, I'm signing off people. I hope to see you all tonight. Shouts out to Above Average Marty for rocking the Pizzlemuzik T-Shirt before I did. I'm rocking mine tonight. Much respect goes out to you my nigga. I see you Rich and Jay. What up Shink! Congrats Moon!!! Let's get this paper, no one can stop us. God 1st, family 2nd, and get back to da money!!! "I'm Sooooooooo Focused!"

Max-B Is BAAAAAACK!!!
www.mixunit.com

WTF!!! How can we have an alley that looks like this? Don't blame our Mayor either. Blame yourselves because I see people buy dope ass cars, and nice ass houses and then they don't cut their own grass. That's like trying to smoke crack and not putting FIRE to the pipe! (I'm not condoning DRUGS AT ALL...I'm simply making a point) If your going to Ball out, DO THAT SHIT!!! But, do it right. If your a leader in your community be one! Don't just talk about it. If your a Bookworm, be one! Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, (In my Clay Davis voice) you may be the person who figures out a faster way to get to the Moon. Either way just know that when your neighborhood has an alley that was once concrete and then grass takes over it's time to take a look around and realize that no one cares about you or your hood and you need to do something about it before some institution or business moves your bluffing ass out of that condemed place you sleep and eat at!

Where Are You Going?
Now, she's hopping off the Bus at 8:30 A.M. so that means she was up early on this day. Meaning she knew what she was going to do at least 24 hours before this scene even occured. This brings me into my subject matter for the day. As I hear the Thunder and see the Lightning outside I can think of plenty things I could be doing but, I decided to keep my eyes open until they are RED because I love my people.

When you have a vision you don't sleep, you eat where you get your thoughts, and you don't stop until you can no longer brainstorm. As number 4 on "Here I Stand" shuffles on my iTunes, Usher ends his bar with the part about "Grape Jelly" I have to pause...........................I think this CD shows Growth and Depth but, some of ya'll would like to hear a nigga keep talking about his Confessions. I don't want to see someone do something the same way everytime. So even if he was to make his next 10 albums confessing about some shit he did, as long as it's fresh how he flips it; I would be anxious to hear it, the same way I'm anxious to hear Jeezy & Re-Up Gang find numerous ways to flip bricks and always make it sound like you can't get caught or it's your 1st time you heard them talk that shit. To get where I am right now, I had to listen to Dopeboys like T.I.P. & Jay-Z because I got more Inspiration from them than I ever got from Leaders and Speakers because it's easy to see where they're vision took them. Hov is damn near a billionaire and needless to say Obama is the closest thing we'll ever get to see as a prominant figure who is in touch with his own culture enough to be globally accepted. I wasn't around to see Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton grow up. Even if I was they never did enough to spark my interest enough for me to even consider them legendary . What have they done for me? But, make it harder to be a Black Man in corporate America.

MTA

I see things sooooooooo much different these days than the average Human Being. You see a Bus, I see the difference of about $350 per month in my pocket to fund my DREAM. I'd rather fund MY DREAM than to keep wasting my money just to say I drove to work. Also, the lesser amount of cars on the street creates a better enviornment for you and I. Which means our children may actually be able to live within our almost diminshed O-Zone layer. Yup, I rode the Bus. Laugh at me all you want but, I bet the next time you see me with a Bus pass and a full tank of gas, I bet I'll be the one laughing at yo' ass!!!! LMAO-

I saw a man on Television get 151 miles per gallon with a Hybrid Honda Civic! Only in America would a mofo try some shit like that. Okay, I don't have to tell what his Race or what his Etnicity was because if you put 2 and 2 together "We just don't have time for all that!". It's all love though, because that shows that our Economy has shit fucked up for errrrrrrrrrrrrrbody! I love all races, colors, and creeds. But, one thing that is evident is that we all are hurting in some kind of way. It may not mean you are flat broke or a straight up loser but, it may mean no more frivalous spending and popping bottles on a weekly basis. Don't let Usher make you think "You got to keep it coming all night long" everytime you go out to have a good time. Don't do what I do because I know what I can spend and I can keep wines of all sorts coming because they don't cost $150-$300 a bottle they cost like $25 to start with. If you niggas were smart you would buy it wholesale and start a wine sellar or even stack your rack from a warehouse but, once again I'm telling my people to do something some of us may never do GROW UP!!!

On Friday of last week I was on my way to work and I saw the picture above. This picture is from one of my favorite streets in East Baltimore. You tell me how many places in East Baltimore have you ever seen grass in this amount other than in a Ziploc? I thought I had a story but, a picture is worth a thousand words.

FAST FACTS

Nas moved a little over 100k in his 1st week but, the album is excellent in my opinion! Fuck Def Jam, that would have never happend if Kevin & Lyor were still over there! Nas is a platinum artist and he sold more at SONY. Go back home to the label that appreciates you NAS.

Wale will be touring with Jay-Z in the UK
The Game's - LAX is definately dropping next month
Pizzlematic (Disc 1) is SOLD OUT
Til' next time, I'll be thinking of ways to save and not splurge. Even though it's hard to save, that doesn't mean you can't have fun. Someone has to pick your brains. Why not me. You wouldn't be on my Blogsite if you didn't want to be here.

Sincerely Yours,

T.B.U.R.A.

Hi Haters!!!

NAS' (UNTITLED ALBUM) IS A CLASSIC!!!

First and foremost, I don' t know why there are errors posting pictures today but, Fuck it! I'm going in...I apologize if no pictures post today!

Standout cuts start with the unorthodox "Queens Get The Money" where Nas' rips two different samples only rhyming to a metronome. Nas continues to sounds a little Esco-ish on "Breathe", "Make The World Go Round", and "Hero". Then mid way through the album he starts to get into "I Am" mode with "Sly Fox", "Testify" and "Nigger". I say "I Am" mode because he still sticks to the script and doesn't reach for commericial appeal mid-way through this body of work. The last quarter of this album is solid where Busta Rhymes actually stays on subject for one of his many features where it just sounds like a breath of FRESH AIR over "Fried Chicken" where Nas & Busta rip this track and concept to shreds conveying the wrong ain't right but, niggas still got to have it! The song "Black President" solidify Nas' alter ego Nastradamus was so ahead of his time. Since Live @ The Barbeque Nas' has held his own and has proven himself time after time. He may not be as rich as Jay-Z and he may not have made the best business moves but, he brings the world yet, another Classic album during a recession, year of the 1st Black President, and where CD sales are overlooked by ringtone sales. God's Son finally scored one after Stillmatic.
Tell Em' Why I'm Madd 7.15.08 (Randomness)
I've been trying to get an iPhone for the past 4 days. How the fuck does Apple not have any more phones in Maryland! See, they think we're dumb they only ship a small ass amount and make it seem like they sold them all. Little do we know that they ship 30% of their product out and then ship another 50% of the product out after people feen for things such this for a few days or weeks or what have you? Then, the remaining 30% is replacement for disfunctional iPhones. Well, I'd like to say a big Fuck You Very Much Stevie J. because I cracked one of your little 16GB iPod Touch devices yesterday. It might have took about 2 hours but, that proves your little gadgets you create for people that aren't middle class to have aren't that tricky at all. Why put a password lock on a device if you can reset it. I guess I'm a NIGGA too...LMAO-
I've sold more CD's in the Club, Mall, & Barbershop than I have anywhere else. I sold less CD's at the show but, then again everyone there had it already except for the other artist there. Once again that proves we don't support each other locally. Just to let everyone know Pizzlematic Disc 2 will be for the entire city. I'm putting on other artists because that's what I do over here at PMG. Stay Tuned!!!
Man, Wale' should have been on "Fried Chicken" with Nas & Busta...WTF (I apologize for the randomness...) A Mark Ronson track should come with a Wale' verse or Hook. DMV STAND UP!!!
Russell Simmons' book "Do You" inspires me to keep cracking the surface and barriers that haven't been touched yet. I'm only 32 pages into it and I've already found light in it. There's definately not anything in there that I haven't seen or hear before but, what's wrong with brushing up on some things that get overlooked. That may be the best $15 investment I ever made in my life. I feel like I can't fail, feet don't fail me now. Success, is something I think we all get afraid of because there becomes a certain standard to live up to and with that becomes more responsibility. I spent so many years just living for the moment now, I'm living to create a movement.
T.B.U.R.A.
Enough Already!!! Amy Winehouse was reportedly caught with coke in her nose. Her dad has admitted we’re going to watch Amy die. He says, "She will die. But it won't be from a drugs overdose. She will die from emphysema. That will be the most likely scenario if she doesn't check her behavior.
"I wish my father would dis-own me like that. Even if I was a coke head like her....better yet, I just cracked this nigga's iPod for free!"
YOUNG BUCK AND TONY YAYO TO FIGHT ON TV?
It might be Michael Buffer time if Tony Yayo and Young Buck get their wish to fight each other in a ring.
Young Buck went on XM Radio and officially challenged Tony Yayo of G-Unit to a boxing match. Here is the quote:
“As far as Yayo – [he] talking about he wanna fight? I’ll do it off of real n***a s**t. I swear on my child’s life. If they line this s**t up, where me and that n***a can go in a ring, we can put that s**t on VH1 we can make that s**t real life. I’ll have Floyd Mayweather training me. I’ll knock that n***a fat, flabby, old, non rappin’ a** out.”
I am hearing that G-Unit is ready and willing to make this fight. I heard that Yayo is ready to go. This sounds like a stretch, but promoters have reportedly jumped on this opportunity. I hope to see this fight made.
"I don't know but, I'm riding wit Young Beezy Buck for this one G-Unit is done!"
As the rap game gets more and more mushy I'll leave you the link for the engagement pictures . Please feel free to sign the GUESTBOOK:
