As, I let this Usher CD "Here I Stand" play.......I'm going in: The past two weeks have been CRAZY period!!! I ordered the 1st round of cd's for Pizzlematic (Disk1) and they sold faster than a new pair of "Butter's" in the summer of 96'!
Maybe, I underestimated my market sales but, I knew if I sat on this CD long enough it would do exactly what I thought it would do...Create a buzz! Little did I know all those free shows I performed at, all those freestyles and numerous club appearances would now payoff.
Now, I started recording Pizzlematic in late November of last year. I only had a laptop and that didn't belong to me. I sold my iMac and T-Mobile Wing to get a Studio Quality Microphone and USB sound card to have a Home/Mobile studio. The only thing I wanted for Christmas was a Latop. Being 26 years old, you don't have too many wants and requests but, my wish was granted. That laptop had to be the best investment ever.
I made a lot of changes since December of last year. I decided to pursue my solo career and I now manage myself with the help of Rob "Fox" Jackson. It wasn't an easy decision but, I know it's destiny calling me. "Destiny", what a word to use. Destiny made me stay up countless nights, play plenty of Happy Hour's, and Parties across the city when I had no music out there. There was a point when I was dropping every 3 months=4times a year and I didn't even know half of the shit I know now. So, I scaled back and took it to the basics. My nigga Whitten put me up on some game he said, "You can do this shit, all you need is 1,000 cd's and start working from there. You got decent shit, you could quit your job and do this shit full-time. If you love what you do, you can't lose, it's a win-win!"
Taking cue from that conversation, I believe every word he spoke. I watched this nigga sell over 30,000 cd's from the trunk for N.E.K. It seemed harder to sell CD's last time around because they said the climate was wrong. It's not that the climate was wrong, it's the artist that were and still are dropping. The music is just wack period. Concepts, lyrics, passion and energy is what the game lacks and I'm determined to bring that back to the game. I'm letting niggas know right now that there is no artist in Baltimore ready to attack this shit the way I'm about to. If you don't have a copy yet I'm feeling pretty nice right now so, I'm going to give ya'll 7 FREE DAYS TO DOWNLOAD IT....

WILL NAS ETHER 50 CENT?
Yes Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, Nas finally called out 50 Cent!
Nas went in on the G-Unit general. I enjoy every bar that the Queens MC spat on the track "Queens Get The Money" from his much anticipated album Untitled, Nas fires shots at the fellow Queens native. Though he doesn't directly call out 50, it can be assumed from lyrics like this.
"Niggas is still hatin' / talkin that Nas done fell off with rhyming / he'd rather floss with diamonds / they pray please god let him spit that oozie in the army lining that shorty doo-wop rolling oowops in the park reclining take twenty-seven mc's put em / in a line and they out of alignment / my assignment said she said retirement hiding behind 8 Mile and The Chronic / get rich but dies rhyming / this is high science / now add 23 more from Queens to B'more / I'm over they heads like a bulimic on a seesaw / Now that's 50 porch monkeys ate up at the same time"
WOW!!! Is this the pre-cursor to "Ether 2?" 50 better be on his shit because money can't take Nas out his zone. He has never went to war with anyone like Nas. 50 Cent may have bumped heads (pauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse) with Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, The Game, and now Young Buck, Nas has spared with Notorious B.I.G and Jay-Z. There is no question Esco would be his toughest lyrical competition to date. In my opinion, I'm siding with Nas on this one. There would be no 50 Cent without Esco.................Let's Go!!! O, yeah don't forget to buy that Nas album on Tuesday, July 15th. You bastards bought 1 Million copies of Wanye's bootlegged ass album. So you fuckers (no pun intended), can definately support a nigga who actually talks some good shit.
In closing, I would like to thank everyone for your purchases and support. Please come out this Thursday, July 10th to The Belvedere Hotel on 1 E. Chase St Baltimore, MD 21202 and Celebrate with me the release of my new CD Pizzlematic (Disk1). (Disk2) is on the way! Thanks to all the promoter's, artist's, producer's, and DJ's who made this possible. Last but, not least........THE WHITE PARTY WAS A SUCCESS & A.A. ALL DAY -
